Antonio Frilli established his first and exclusive Atelier in via dei Fossi, Florence in 1860, where he worked with a few assistants on medium-size refined painted alabasters and big white Carrara marble statues for private villas and monumental institutions. Frilli is first recorded as exhibiting at the Espozione Nationale di Roma in 1883 He worked primarily in marble but also in bronze. He is known to have been active in the last two decades of the 19th century producing decorative technically brilliant sculptures which were almost invariably contemporary in style. Antonio Frilli (d. 1902) was a Florentine sculptor who specialized in marble and alabaster statues for public and private customers His works decorate famous cemeteries such as Porte Sante and Allori in Florence. A marble portrait of Frilli was carved in his Atelier after his death, and it was placed on his family tomb in Cimitero degli Allori Frilli and his gallery were well-known in Europe, the United States and Australia, as he took part in several world's fair exhibitions. He was in Philadelphia for the Centennial Exposition of 1876, and in 1881 his statues and garden furniture were exhibited in the Italian Pavilion in Melbourne, Australia Another example of this group is in the Soumaya Museum in Mexico city.

Payments and shipping must be fully rendered, prior to deliveries. We do not accept check payments. For those with tax exemption, we require a signed copy of tax exempt documentation. State regulations require us to have a copy of the original state issued tax document. Thank you for understanding. TIC
Shipping is not included with all our items. You will need to contact us to pay for shipping and handling.
Some of our items are large in size; these items will require shipping outside the realm of USPS, UPS and FED Ex and their policies. Shipping via freight time frame is between 6-8 weeks.
We provide shipping and handling and utilize a white glove delivery service, where our shippers have years of experience handling fine antiquities. Please contact us, for more information.

Shipping is Tax exempt when shipping outside of New York State.
We will try our best, to get the least expensive shipping, from our several white glove service.
International shipping is based to the nearest port of the city destination. Once an item arrives at the port in that country, US Taxes, Country and local taxes, custom fees and any other fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
A $35 shipping and handling charge may be applicable depending of size of the item being shipped. This is for the packing materials and packaging the items. We do not use old boxes or newspapers to pack our delicate items. We utilize bubble wrap, peanuts and new boxes as this is the policy for both USPS or UPS to cover their insurance policy.
Please, be aware that international shipping is costly. Make a wise decision prior to your purchases.
Once you have made the purchases and a decision on shipping has not been finalized, you are taking pieces out of our inventory that can ultimately be sold. If a purchase is cancelled prior to shipping, a 10% restocking and processing fee will be deducted when the termination of sale occurs.

All items are deemed vintage with expectations of wear and tear. All sales are Final and we do not accept Returns. All items are fully insured when shipped and will be handled and packaged accordingly by the shipper. We do not work with a paid broker to certify items. Buyers are responsible and are welcome to work with a license broker of their choice. When items such as glass, arrives broken we will provide service that is based on the insurer's or shipper's policies.
We can place items on Hold for three working days if the buyer provides a major credit card. It is the buyer's responsibility to inform Tongue In Chique of their decision to purchase the item within the allowable three days, otherwise items will be sold to the next client.
